Toshiba Aquilian Models with 4 and 8 Slices
These CT scanners are still present on the second-hand market, but they are decreasing in popularity. Therefore, the Aquilian 4 is becoming less available and the Aquilian 8 has almost disappeared.
As these CT scanners are the slowest and least powerful, they are also the cheapest.
These systems are usually used by veterinarians or by low-volume imaging centers.
Toshiba Aquilian 16
The Toshiba Aquilian 16 is still a popular basic CT scanner for general imaging and it is a solid workhorse.
Accelerating rotation time decreases time of scans and reduce distortion of moving organs compared to the systems with 4 and 8 slices.
The Toshiba Aquilian 16 is a good CT scanner for general imaging and has limited capabilities for basic cardiac studies.
Toshiba Aquilian 32
Providing twice as much data in the acquired data set than the 16, the Aquilian 32 allows better coverage.
This gives better accuracy of diagnostic images.
It comes with workflow-enhancing software that delivers increased image quality and improved dose management.
The Aquilian 32 and 16 are similar in many ways.
However, the big difference is that the Aquiline 32 provides greater coverage per gantry rotation.
The biggest advantage of the Toshiba Aquilian 32 is maybe that it can be upgraded to the Aquilian 64.
This might also be the reason that we rarely see this model on the market anymore.
